MEC-Pipescanners

The MEC-Pipescanners have been proven in the field to have a high Probability of Detection (POD) of approx. 95% for pitting and general corrosion. A high detection reliability rate for corrosion is essential to the condition assessment or risk-based inspection and for all subsequent decisions.

 

Applied during process conditions as a fast corrosion screening method, the MEC-Pipescanners supports ideally Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) strategies.

The MEC-Pipescanners offer the following features and benefits in terms of defect assessment, integrity and monitoring support for both on- and offshore applications:
